Agility v4.0.4 Release Now Available
DMSi has announced the release of a new software upgrade, Agility v4.0.4. The release provides customers with additional functionality to further improve their business processes and efficiency. Customers may access the full release notes at www.dmsi.com.
Easily Specify Multiple Dimensions within Work Order Entry
If you enter sales work orders that include multiple dimensions of the same item, such as counter tops or lumber items, you can now select or enter the item a single time on the Work Order Entry screen and then simply select the dimensions to add. This enhancement increases efficiency and reduces the chances of miskeying item codes when entering work orders.
Customizable Table Views
On select screens containing tables, you can now specify the columns you want to display, determine the order in which the selected columns display, and save the specifications. Customized views allow you to define what fields you need to view and in what order based on your job responsibility and function, increasing user efficiency and control.
Restrict Item Sales for Users and Customers
In addition to the ability to flag an item as non-saleable, you now have the option to limit the items customers can buy and users can sell on sales orders, sales work orders, and quotes. Restricting the sale of items improves control by limiting a user from selling items he or she may be unfamiliar with or unauthorized to sell, and limiting customers from purchasing items outside of a company-defined sellable region.
Save Report Criteria for User or Security Group Available on Additional Reports
Several reports have been enhanced to allow saving of report criteria to easily generate the report at a later time without reselecting the criteria. Security for saving report criteria has been enhanced to allow you to save or delete report criteria for all users within a security group. These enhancements increase efficiency by eliminating keystrokes and reducing the risk for using incorrect reporting criteria.
Specify Total Component Quantity Independent of Parent Quantity
For bill of materials (BOM) items, you can now enter component item quantity that has no relationship to the parent item quantity. For example, if you order 512 LF of countertop, you can now enter 1 EA of sink cutout rather than 1/512 EA. If you increase or decrease the countertop quantity, the sink cutout quantity remains at 1. This feature is useful for components that are unaffected by parent quantity, such as cutouts, sundry labor items, miter cuts, or edging variations. In addition, you can now enter option component quantities during work order entry, rather than defaulting the quantity specified on BOM Detail Maintenance. This enhancement simplifies and streamlines BOM entry.
New Prefinish Process for Reman Work Orders
Prior to filling orders, if you need to prefinish material (e.g. paint, stain) using remanufacturing, a new prefinish processing feature allows you to tag a sales order detail item, reman work order input item, or millwork work order component to fill from a source of prefinish. Upon creation of the reman work order, the system auto adds the item needing prefinish as the input, creates an alternate item as the output, then updates the item on the original order. This enhancement saves time by automating several steps in the remanufacturing process, such as defaulting the operations and key on the reman work order.
New 20/20 Technologies Interface
A new interface is now available for creating sales orders in Agility using standard XML files exported from the kitchen and bath design software by 20/20 Technologies. You can also flag the interface to automatically create a linked purchase order for each sales order. This enhancement saves time and improves accuracy by eliminating manual transaction entry in Agility.
New Eagle Windows and Doors Interface
A new interface is now available for creating or appending to Agility sales orders using XML files exported from the EagleVision product design software by Eagle Windows and Doors. You can also flag the interface to automatically create a linked purchase order for each sales order. This enhancement saves time and improves accuracy by eliminating manual transaction entry in Agility.
Provide G/L Account Access to Financial Data based on User
You can now define security to allow or restrict access to G/L account information by assigning account groups on the user's profile. Account group security applies to the G/L Detail Inquiry, G/L Detail Report, G/L Online Financial Reports, and G/L Print or Export Financial Reports. For example, you want to allow a user to run G/L reports for the user's location only. You assign the location on the user profile and grant the user menu access to the above screens. The user can then run/print inquiries and reports on the screens for their location without displaying information for other locations. This enhancement improves security by allowing users access to run reports for their area while retaining security on company financial information.
Purge Accounts Receivable Invoice Records
You can now purge accounts receivable records for paid in full invoices. Sales order records associated with the accounts receivable invoices must be purged prior to purging the associated A/R records. This enhancement provides greater control of your system data which can facilitate more efficient querying and reporting.
