Alley Roofing Supply Reaps the Benefits of Agility
Omaha, NE – Based in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Alley Roofing Supply has three branches selling roofing materials and accessories. The company selected DMSi’s Agility software for its inventory control, experienced customer service, and software as a service (SaaS) option. Their previous system provided only basic accounting functionality that prohibited them from efficiently serving their customers. “We have only been live on Agility for two months and are already experiencing the benefits,” says Scott Campbell, system manager at Alley Roofing Supply. “During the first week, we caught a major discrepancy in our inventory and were able to resolve the issue.”
The centralized inventory control in Agility provides a structured workflow for Alley Roofing Supply. With all their branches on Agility’s uniform system, they can easily update cost changes and view inventory information across all locations. “The owner can pull up viewers and see inventory and sales in all three of our branches,” explains Campbell. “This helps him grasp the bigger picture and make appropriate business decisions based on real-time information.”

This gives them the additional benefit of housing servers and other related hardware and software at a remote, secure, expertly maintained “Data Center”. All their workforce requires is a PC with an Internet connection to access the Data Center and perform regular day-to-day business. “By accessing Agility remotely, our sales staff can place orders over the weekend rather than waiting until Monday morning,” states Campbell. “Having data at their fingertips saves a trip to the office and gets the information to our customers immediately.”
