Agility is built to grow with American Wallzone
A company on the verge of growth, American Wallzone, chose Agility because they need a system that will support future requirements. “Right now we are just scratching the surface with the system, and as we grow, we wanted a system that can grow with us,” American Wallzone’s Vice President and General Manager, Mike Turek said. “We know that Agility isn’t a system we will just have for 3-4 years; it is one that will adapt with us.”
The company, which has eight locations throughout Alabama and one in Florida, is a specialty exterior building supply distributor. Selling virtually every product that goes on the outside of a home, they maintain a strict focus on unmatched customer care. In just a little under a year of being on Agility, they have seen strong successes in inventory control and in their financials, which makes a big impact on customer service. “It has already allowed us to tighten up our inventory control and track our financials much, much better than we ever could before,” Turek added. “All of those things improve customer service, the viability of the company, the financial aspects of the company—everything.”
American Wallzone has had gains in big and small areas, including rebate reporting. “It is great even for simple things like running monthly reports on back-end rebates for the manufacturer,” Turek described. “I can go into the sales analysis report and generate what I need in only an hour. Prior to Agility, the managers literally had to make copies of all of those invoices, get them together, and send them over to the vendor. You can imagine with nine locations what a manual process that was.”
Looking back on their decision to implement Agility, American Wallzone doesn’t have any regrets. “We went into the implementation knowing that the first few weeks might be challenging because it was new, but that there would be light at the end of the tunnel,” Turek said. “We knew we were going to be much better at how we operate after we got Agility implemented, and we are.”
