DMSi Introduces the E-Commerce Gateway
Omaha, NE - DMSi would like to announce the latest technology option available to Agility customers: the E-Commerce Gateway. This isn’t some futuristic Star Trek type of communication. It is the latest step to allow you, our DMSi customers, to access data out of Agility and use it with other applications.
The initial phase of the Gateway (also called the Web Service API) enables you to present data from Agility through external software solutions that provide your customers a different, preferred interface.
For example, DMSi offers Partnerview as a means for your customers to access your inventory information or their own account information. However, some of our customers have requested additional functionality. Through the E-Commerce Gateway, DMSi now gives customers the option to use outside applications to provide the end-user experience they desire by allowing them to pull in data from Agility that their customers need to see. In fact, two Agility customers, in an effort to provide their customers a standard industry interface, currently merge Agility data with http://www.builderwire.com.
DMSi looks at the E-Commerce Gateway as a first step in providing the data transparency and customer service that your customers are coming to expect. Moving forward, we foresee adding functionality that would allow these sources to pay invoices, apply credits, and other functionalities that will benefit both you and your customers. The E-Commerce Gateway is just one more way that DMSi is working to help you run better.
