Falls City Lumber Company Transitions from DMS+ to Agility Software

Omaha, NE – Lumber wholesaler Falls City Lumber recently transitioned from DMS+ to Agility software. Headquartered in Louisville, Kentucky, the company has been a customer of DMSi Software’s DMS+ product since 1994. The added functionality, availability of a SaaS environment, and strong partnership with DMSi were the main factors behind their transition to Agility. “We’ve been looking at Agility for the past five years and the timing was finally right to make the switch,” says Jeff Adams, Falls City Lumber operations manager. “Agility provides the tools we need to position our company for the future.”

With Agility’s supplemental products, Falls City Lumber has the capabilities to enhance standard features. Mobile Solutions will help them further improve inventory accuracy, control, and productivity by reducing full physical inventories. “Another plus for Agility is its ability to provide an easy conversion to Mobile Solutions, once we decide to add that element,” explains Adams. “We look forward to eliminating hand counts by scanning item information directly into Agility.”

Requiring only an Internet connection for software access, Falls City Lumber selected Agility SaaS (Software as a Service) to remove IT hassles from their business. “Our sales manager can use Agility when he’s out the road, instantly pulling up product information while talking to customers,” says Adams. “SaaS frees up my time to work on business-related projects rather than managing software updates and server maintenance.” Without a local server, Agility SaaS provides top-tier technology, security, and disaster recovery.

For well over a decade, Falls City Lumber has entrusted DMSi as their software provider. The decision to forgo looking at other software companies when upgrading was based on their positive, long standing partnership with DMSi. “We are comfortable with DMSi and know that they are constantly working on solutions to make our business run smoother,” concludes Adams.
