DMSi Software Becomes New PAL Member
Omaha, NE - DMSi Software is proud to become a member of Progressive Affiliated Lumbermen, better known as PAL. Focusing solely on building material companies for over 30 years, DMSi remains an independent software provider. As such, DMSi strongly supports PAL’s mission to encourage the success of independent lumber retailers. A cooperative corporation established in Grand Rapids, MI, in 1937, PAL is owned 100% by its membership, and is governed by a 12 person Board of Directors comprised of PAL dealers.
Although a part of a large organization, PAL shareholders maintain their unique personality and image in the community. A PAL shareholder uses PAL’s purchasing power and expertise to maximize time and increase bottom line profitability, while operating their own business. PAL provides a three-way partnership; the dealer, the supplier and PAL, with PAL acting as the purchasing agent for the dealer. PAL traders use their market contacts and expertise, along with PAL's buying power, to negotiate purchases that one dealer acting on his own could not obtain.
Since 1976, DMSi ranks as the leading business management solution for distributors of building material and forest products; and holds memberships in various building industry associations and groups similar to PAL. “DMSi’s exclusive focus on building materials allows us to tailor partnerships with individual industry groups in a way large generic companies simply can’t match,” explains Randy Kwist, DMSi General Manager for LBM Dealer and Millwork segments. “I look forward to getting to know PAL’s lumber retailers because it helps us gain a better understanding of the markets we serve.”
As a new member of PAL, DMSi will continue on its mission to continually developing software specifically designed for lumber dealers and promote the profitability within the industry. “A majority of the most successful building products distributors in America use DMSi software to increase their bottom-line. DMSi is excited to introduce these solutions to PAL and establish the application within the PAL group,” adds Kwist. “We are honored to be a member of PAL and applaud their continued success of bringing value to members.” If you would like to know more about how DMSi can help improve asset management, streamline business processes, and increase customer satisfaction, visit www.dmsi.com or call 800-347-6720.
