W.M. Cramer Lumber Company Transitions from LumberPro to Agility Software
Omaha, NE – Hardwood lumber supplier W.M. Cramer Lumber Company recently transitioned from LumberPro to Agility software. Headquartered in Hickory, North Carolina, the company has been a customer of DMSi Software’s LumberPro product since 1996. The need to take their efficiency to the next level prompted W.M. Cramer Lumber to make the upgrade to Agility.
Although W.M. Cramer Lumber researched other software companies, the quality service and support of DMSi staff confirmed their decision to continue a partnership with DMSi. “The number one reason we selected Agility was the excellent support that DMSi provides,” says W.M. Cramer Lumber System Administrator Kim Vollinger. “We felt that we were more than just a sale to DMSi. Other companies made promises, but couldn’t back them up. History showed us that DMSi would always be around and we wouldn’t have to worry about them packing up and leaving. That proved to be 100 percent correct.”
End tally tracking solutions in Agility allows W.M. Cramer Lumber to track hardwood lumber by the piece, obtaining more precise information. With hand-held technology, Agility brings tighter control to inventory and streamlines the tracking process. “The automation in Agility relieves double-entry of orders and accurately prints pick and delivery tickets, which is an asset to our customers,” explains Vollinger.
Agility provides W.M. Cramer Lumber with time saving processes such as the elimination of double keying orders, access to real time information, and paperless billing. “We are working toward eliminating 8 hours a day in data entry with Agility,” adds Vollinger. “As we become more familiar with the software, I’m confident we’ll reach that goal.”
