Web-Don, Inc. Clears Path For BLOCS to Agility Conversions
Omaha, NE – The first customer upgrade from BLOCS to Agility was completed this past summer, as Web-Don (Charlotte, NC) converted their 6 locations and 48 users to Agility. The efforts made by Web-Don and DMSi resulted in a clear upgrade path for all other BLOCS customers by refining BLOCS specific training processes and data conversion programs. “After converting to Agility, we can’t imagine going back to using the arrow and function keys of BLOCS,” explains Luke Teague, Web-Don Operations Manager. “Agility’s seamless window point and click environment, along with the benefits of BInformed, Proof of Delivery Scan Capture, and embedded viewers, definitely opened up the door for greater efficiencies for Web-Don. Plus, the training for our younger generation employees has been greatly simplified.”
Web-Don utilized the opportunity of upgrading to Agility to review existing procedures while cleaning up their database; dumping a half a million SKUs and purging hundreds of old customer locations. To support Web-Don’s upgrade to Agility and to make the upgrade from BLOCS as seamless as possible for the remaining community, DMSi created several conversion programs used to import BLOCS data in to Agility. Since implementation, DMSi has developed several new on line training tools to educate staff and ensure a smooth transition from BLOCs to Agility.
Teague encourages all BLOCs customers to migrate to Agility for its additional benefits. “Our sales by month report that used to take 15 to 20 minutes to create in BLOCS, now can be produced in 30 seconds with Agility. Customers appreciate our new ability to deliver invoices immediately, so they can more readily take advantage of our discount date. Sales people have instant access to inventory information to keep our customers happy,” adds Teague. “All in all, the tools, services, and efficiencies gained are tremendous. And, the DMSi help desk is always available with immediate solutions, if you need assistance along the way.”
