DMSi Drywall LOB is Hosting Picking Webinar May 22nd
The DMSi Drywall LOB team is hosting a Webinar May 22nd at 10:30 a.m. CDT titled “Enhanced Picking Functionality and Best Practices.” With the release of v3.1.0, the Create Picks/Shipments and Picking Desktop icons have been replaced with Order Processing. The functionality of the picking and shipping process has remained the same with some new features and a facelift. An expert from the DD LOB will cover transitioning to the new layout as well as some recommended best practices. New Drywall Functionality Pass-Thru Technology added in V3.1.0
With each new software release, DMSi’s goal is to add functionality that will benefit customers across the building material industries. As these versions are released, the DD LOB team will provide information on different functionality that will greatly benefit the Drywall Industry.

With the release of v3.1.0, Pass-Thru technology has been added. This feature will directly benefit the Drywall Industry. Pass-Thru allows you to tie a specific PO cost to a specific sales order rather than relying on average cost to determine your margins. This will allow you to link together your bulk buys for large commercial projects to the corresponding sales orders, enabling you to see actual margins through Agility reporting. DMSi Drywall Line of Business Team Hosts Webinar on Sheet Good Functionality
On March 20, DMSi’s Drywall Line of Business (LOB) team hosted a webinar, “Using Sheet Good Functionality in Agility for Drywall and Metal Items,” led by Phil Birnbaum, Dakota Gypsum & Steel System Manager. Available in Agility, sheet good item types increase efficiency for drywall distributors by allowing multiple sizes of gypsum and steel to be tracked under the same item code. This simplifies maintenance of pricing, costing and inventory control.

Twenty-five participants attended the free webinar for DMSi customers and prospects. Designed to communicate more effectively with drywall customers, the DMSi Drywall LOB team tailors its services to improve software knowledge, usage, and support. Organizing webinars that highlight Agility’s best practices is just one of the goals of the Drywall LOB team.
