DMSi Software has added new, embedded Agility functionality which allows for the scanning and retrieval of signed delivery tickets (Proof of Deliveries). The Agility POD scan solution has been created using entry level technologies provided by Worldview LTD. 

To help customers prepare for future software enhancements, DMSi is providing a summary of modifications in Agility v3.1.1. The release will be available to customers by mid-July 2008. See how the following features can help your business become more efficient today.

In order to streamline business processes, Plywood Tacoma’s three branches recently went live on DMSi’s Agility Software. Headquartered in Tacoma, WA, Plywood Tacoma manufactures and sells doors, laminate, laminated panels, plywood, mouldings, and hardwood and softwood lumber.

Drywall distributor Rose & Walker Supply recently went live on DMSi’s Agility software. Founded in 1986 in Columbus, IN, Rose & Walker sells drywall, insulation, metal studs, vinyl siding, roofing, and accessories. With expansions and acquisitions in Illinois and Indiana, Rose & Walker needed a uniform, industry specific system for all five of their branches.

Agility, the flagship product of DMSi Software, has seamless window interfaces to the most popular lines. Using information directly from the manufacturer’s system, Agility users can configure, quote and transmit orders. Currently, Agility has interfaces to: Amsco, Andersen, Cascade, Ellison, Jeld-Wen, Kolbe, Loewen, Marvin, Silver Line, Simonton, and Windsor.

A millwork distributor in Orland Park, IL since 1973; Kel Mel Supply Company recently went live on DMSi’s Agility software. Agility’s custom millwork industry tools, including CAFÉ logic and window and door interfaces, help Kel Mel Supply manage their inventory with effective reporting, custom viewers, and production scheduling features.

DMSi software would like to welcome Vanoak Trim as its newest Agility customer. DMSi Software is proud to announce PartnerView 2.0; a new, more powerful, and easier to use web customer service application. Available to customers alongside Agility v3.1.0, PartnerView 2.0 (PV2.0) serves as a real-time online portal to help customers and internal staff complete their own orders and answer questions regarding accounts, pricing, and availability of products with real-time data.

On March 20, DMSi’s Drywall Line of Business (LOB) team hosted a webinar, “Using Sheet Good Functionality in Agility for Drywall and Metal Items,” led by Phil Birnbaum, Dakota Gypsum & Steel System Manager. Available in Agility, sheet good item types increase efficiency for drywall distributors with powerful inventory control, accurate data, and quick order entry.

During Progress Software Corporation's Kick-Off Meeting for applications partners in January, DMSi Software was awarded the Progress Software-Business Focus Award for Business Vision. DMSi received this award based on their foresite in recognizing a key marketing opportunity that leveraged a trend, resulting in measurable business success.

On April 20-22, 2008, DMSi will attend the NAWLA Executive Conference at the Loews Ventana Canyon Resort in Tucson, Ariz. Currently, over 75 NAWLA members have improved asset management, streamlined business processes, and increased customer satisfaction utilizing DMSi software.

On April 3-6, 2008, DMSi will attend the ABM (Associated Building Material Distributors of America) Member/Supplier Meeting at the Renaissance Vinoy Resort in St. Petersburg, FL. To further assist customers with profit-building technology, DMSi has changed the licensing of Agility Mobile Solutions. The new licensing eliminates fees formerly associated with this add-on software, making it easier to implement.
