Cedar Creek announced the signing of a letter of intent to purchase Wholesale Wood Products, an Alabama-based distributor. The transaction is expected to close within the next two months. "This move backfills Cedar Creek's current coverage area in the Southeast between our current Tennessee and North Carolina branches and further underscores our commitment to growing the footprint of Cedar Creek," said Bill Adams, CEO of Oklahoma City-based Cedar Creek.

The deal is expected to close in mid-May. Cedar Creek serves 12 states in the mid-South and Midwest from 11 distribution yards, while 39-year-old Epperson supplies the Carolinas, Virginia and Tennessee.
