Agility is Constantly Getting Better

Companies running Agility are preparing for the future. DMSi devotes its development resources and talent to improving the software; creating new technologies; and supporting its availability in the cloud.

“DMSi listens to customers to improve Agility by adding great features like the new resource scheduling and Visual Café for millwork, the escalating quote feature for drywall, and even the new Agility Mobile Apps. This solidifies Agility as the leader in terms of new technology,” Scott Green, DMSi Supervising Product Consultant said.

Moehl Millwork, a wholesale millwork distributor out of Ankeny, Iowa, converted from DMS+ to Agility in 2010 when they saw the writing on the wall in terms of the future of their legacy software. “We wanted to avoid obsolescence and eliminate our concern of dated hardware breakdowns and end of life support of our previous mainframe system,” Moehl Millwork Vice President - Finance, Mike Ryerson explained.

Wagner Distribution Holding, a drywall and building material distributor, converted from DMS+ to Agility in 2008 when they felt the excitement over new developments in Agility. “There are always new features being adding that we see as a bonus for us,” Wagner Distribution's operations assistant, Jon Neppel added. “Overall, DMSi has helped us walk through things that are new and we see the incentives just as much as DMSi does.”

By selecting to run Agility in the Cloud, customers have access to information anywhere with internet access. DMSi hosts the servers, so you can rest assured that your data is safe and accessible to you. The Cloud is a powerful, cost-effective platform that is also a pay as you go approach to software licensing. You don’t prepay for years of software consumption up front, you only pay for it monthly as you use it. “With SaaS, we saved the cost of investing and re-investing in additional servers and server licensed software,” Ryerson described. “The real benefit is secure data and access from anywhere. Previously with our local mainframe when we lost power or our local Internet provider line was down all of our branches lost D+ access.”

There has never been a better time to position your company for the future than now. Agility, with its unparalleled information access, simplified financials, powerful import and export programs, ongoing developments, and Agility in the Cloud option will help streamline your business.
