New Mexico Plaster & Supply Converts from DMS+ to Agility Software
Omaha, NE – A DMSi customer since 1993, New Mexico Plaster & Supply recently completed their conversion from DMS+ to Agility software. Located in Albuquerque, NM, New Mexico Plaster is a wholesale distributor of plaster, stucco, and related products. Their need for a new server and availability of Agility’s hosted environment prompted New Mexico Plaster to upgrade.
New Mexico Plaster had been running on the same server since 1999 and recently feared it would crash at anytime. Taking preventative measures, New Mexico Plaster removed hardware and software from their business by transferring IT infrastructure to a hosted facility. “Every time we powered down the server, we wondered if it was going to start again,” says Barbara Gentry, New Mexico Plaster system manager. “With Agility SaaS we can focus on our core business activities and leave the technology issues to DMSi.” With no full-time IT specialist on staff, Agility SaaS (Software as a Service) eliminates waste and cuts costs for New Mexico Plaster by outsourcing the complexity of managing server and communication hardware, software, updates, and backups.
New Mexico Plaster’s positive relationship with DMSi led them to forgo researching other software systems and extend their partnership with DMSi. “Their ongoing knowledge of industry and business trends reassured us that we were in good hands,” adds Gentry. “We were right. We literally stopped using DMS+ on Friday and started using Agility on Monday. The transition could not have gone smoother.”
