Our History

DMSi was born in Omaha in 1976. A pioneer of software that made the hard work of running a distribution business easier.

It didn’t take long to discover that to survive, we had to focus all of our efforts on serving one kind of customer. On the drive back from a prospect—in the time it takes to cover 30 Omaha city blocks—we made a decision that has defined DMSi ever since.

We would dedicate DMSi to the building materials industry. All of our energy, all of our resources—would be focused on helping them better serve their customers.
